So you’ve never been to an astrologer before but the thought has crossed your mind. How will you make your first contact: a phone call, an email, or by a synchronous accident as you bump into each other at a lecture, meeting, or grocery store? Will you be a little nervous and anxious wondering about what to expect?

I know how I felt seeking out my first astrological consultation. The phone rang and I was introduced to an astrologer on the other end. I provided some details about my birth and another phone appointment was scheduled. When that day and time arrived the phone rang once again and my first consultation began. Initially nervous but things settled into an easy flowing two-way dialogue. We discussed themes in my life development (earlier to present), my needs, goals, and intended outcomes and destinations. I learned a lot about myself. I learned to appreciate whom I had become and I better understood why. It was an enlightening and wonderfully engaging productive encounter.

Over the last 20 plus years my Astrologer became my confidant and most important astrological mentor and teacher. But it all started with a meeting: one transiently anxious client and the other a willing helpful professional astrologer!

Sometimes fear get’s the best of us and we miss out on something that might’ve been one of the pivotal events of a lifetime. There’s no reason to fear an Astrologer nor an astrology consultation. Astrologers are just people who use astrology as their toolset. They bring to the table a special set of idiosyncrasies and talents, quirks and weaknesses, experiences and “know-how”, and their own unresolved issues. This is what makes empathy, rapport and a real connection possible.
